Publishing Options

There is no charge to publish in JMSR. This is also known as the Traditional publishing model – published articles are made available to institutions and individuals who subscribe to JMSR or who pay to read specific articles.

We also offer a Gold Open Access option. When an article is accepted for publication, the author/s or funder/s pay an Article Processing Charge (APC). The final version of the published article is then free to read for everyone in congruence with Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 user licence.

This is the most open licence available and considered in the industry ‘gold standard’ for open access; it is also preferred by many funders. The APC fee is US$2250.00.
